Liner notes / Copyright

Additional information

  • The album was supposed to be called Krabat, but because of copyright issues, it has to be renamed to Zaubererbruder.
  • Krabat is the title of a book by Ottfried Preussler, and Zaubererbruder will is strongly inspired by the story of the book, where a young boy named Krabat learns black magic from an evil sorcerer, who then holds his talented apprentice captive. ASP uses the story to talk about "the seduction of young people by a corrupt system".
  • Five of the album's songs (Krabat, Fluchtversuch, Elf Und Einer, Mein Herz Erkennt Dich Immer and Zaubererbruder) were released more than a year in advance, on the different editions of the Ich Bin Ein Wahrer Satan single.
